Drain Repiping in Los Angeles – Do Not Do

Finally made some time to post a few new things! : ) I recently came across a classic case of a bad drain repiping job and thought it would be beneficial to share. Take a close look at the drain of the kitchen sink. The white section of the pipe that comes out of the garbage disposer connects to a sanitary tee. Can you see the problem?? The sanitary tee is installed upside down! This will create frequent blockage and standing dirty water in the horizontal pipe and garbage disposer. If you start to smell funny smells coming out of your sink after a plumbing job, you may want to check to ensure you do not have this problem!
